To celebrate the festive season and bring a little more fun to parties nationwide this Christmas, Pringles is launching a new special edition range of flavours with fun, festive artwork designs. The two new flavours; Pigs in Blankets and Christmas Turkey, will be available from the 4th October alongside new limited edition can artwork to add a touch of tradition to Christmas celebrations.

‘Merry Pringles’ cans will also include a blank box on-pack for customers to add their own special message to share the fun of the “giving” season.

Christmas remains the largest celebration in the UK and Pringles can help you leverage this lucrative sales opportunity by bringing festive cheer to both the packaging and flavour choices this year. With almost a third of consumers choosing Pringles as their favourite Christmas snack, the new variants and exciting artwork are sure to appeal to consumers of all ages preparing to entertain and celebrate with the whole family.

Paul Lettice, Trade Communications Manager at P&G commented:
“Pringles is the UK’s number one large sharing snack and this is especially appropriate in the festive period when it is served and consumed by a huge 10.2 million households!

“In fact, 40% of annual Pringles sales are made around this time of year , so it represents a great opportunity for retailers to increase their snacks sales and boost overall profits.

“We’re incredibly excited to be launching delicious new flavours and packaging this Christmas, when gatherings with friends and families are most popular and hosts look to treat guests with the best quality food and drink, and new variations of their favourite snack.

“Retailers should ensure they have good stock levels of the new festive Pringles alongside other popular Christmas-themed products to ensure they make the most of the sales opportunity in the upcoming months building up to everybody’s favourite time of year.”

‘Merry Pringles’ will be supported by a multi- million pound marketing campaign including seasonal TV, press and online advertising from November, as well as a full menu of bold point of sale materials for maximum stand-out in store.
