Christmas orders for duck and goose are on the increase, according to Waitrose.
The supermarket said today that Christmas orders for duck were up 71% year on year so far.
Orders for goose have risen by 35%, ahead of traditional Christmas fayre such as turkey.
Frances Westerman, poultry buyer at Waitrose, said: “Customers are increasingly looking for a new taste experience and foods that pack more punch in terms of flavour.”
