Waitrose and Booths form buying alliance

Waitrose and Booths have said that they are coming together as part of a buying alliance.

Under the deal, the two are set to share cost prices and promote areas they are both similar in.

Waitrose managing director Mark Price said that there are “similarities” between the two in terms of “products and customer services”.

“This buying alliance will benefit customers of both Waitrose and Booths for the long term by ensuring that prices within both shops are highly competitive through greater supply initiatives,” he said.

Earlier this week, Waitrose said that it will be introducing meat favourites that were popular a generation ago.
