
Tesco is planning to introduce hundreds more products as part of its discount range, it has been claimed.
According to the Independent, further products are to be included in the cut-price marketing campaign.
This was originally announced by the retailer and launched last month.
The supermarket refused to comment on the speculation, after Aldi said that its sales have not been hit by the initial Tesco move.
Director Graham Hetherington said that the majority of its growth is still coming from the big four supermarkets, especially Tesco.
Market Value consists of a number of different food items, ranging from lemons to tomatoes.
