The Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Festival is returning to Custom House Square in Belfast on the weekend of 14 to 16 September.
Northern Ireland’s local food companies will gather for a weekend of tasting, cooking and local food. The event is under cover in a huge marquee in Belfast City Centre and admission is free.
Taste Northern Ireland 2012 celebrates and showcases “all that’s great about Northern Ireland food and drink producers, suppliers and chefs”. There are free tastings and samples guaranteed, as well as exclusive previews of brand new product launches.
The celebrations will run all weekend with family fun and games in the Ballygowan Activity Zone, kids’ arts and crafts workshops, roving circus entertainers and a petting farm for children. In the Taste of Ulster cookery theatre, there’s a full programme of local chefs sharing their cooking tips and recipes, using local produce.
The event is supported by Translink, which is encouraging visitors and foodies to make the most of the day by taking the bus or train from all over Northern Ireland direct to Belfast City Centre.
