Tesco’s review of head office jobs could result in as many as 300 positions being lost, the Mail on Sunday claimed yesterday.
Talks with staff have been taking place over the past month and the review is continuing, but the paper quotes “sources” for the 300 figure.
Job losses are mainly expected in non-food operations, mostly in mid-management roles.
Tesco told the Mail on Sunday it did not yet know how many positions would be affected.
Some staff are expected to be redeployed into areas such as environmental roles and Tesco Direct.
