Tesco and Ocado are ramping up delivery costs for online shoppers in the run-up to Christmas.
Tesco, is to raise its standard fee (higher charges apply in the early morning, lunchtimes and early evening) for Mondays and Tuesdays from between £3 and £5 to £6 during Christmas week, while Ocado, which sells Waitrose products, is hiking up its price to a flat fee of £9.99 from 20 December .
Typically Ocado customers pay from £4-£5.99.
Both Sainsbury’s and Asda are sticking to their normal delivery charges.
