The shortlist was announced for the Skillsmart Retail Rising Stars Awards, where an up-and-coming retailer will be crowned the Rising Star of the Year.
Almost 80 individuals and teams from a range of businesses and retail skills shops across the country will have to wait until 8 September, to find out which of them will walk away with one of the 17 prestigious Rising Stars trophies.
Categories in this year’s competition, which culminates in a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, include Apprentice of the Year, Visual Merchandiser of the Year, Store Manager of the Year and Online Team or Individual of the Year.
The 17 category winners will then all be in with a chance of being named the overall Rising Star of the Year.
Dragons’ Den star and chairman of Ryman, Theo Paphitis, who will present the awards to the winners, said: “This is the third year I will have attended this awards ceremony to meet the up-and-coming retailers of the future and the high standard continues to impress me.”
