Rising fuel costs hitting out-of-town shopping

High petrol prices are deterring shoppers from driving to out-of-town retail parks, according to Sir Stuart Rose, chief executive of Marks & Spencer.

Customers were more likely to shop at high-street stores.

Rose said the thought out-of-town was “pretty much done”.
