The role of Nisa-Today’s will be to communicate the notion of responsible retailing to members and offer help in consultations.
Chairman at the organisation Nick Grant said he is pleased that such an “important” is being addressed.
“I am confident Nisa-Today’s and its members will benefit from the expertise RASG has established in building partnerships to reduce sales of alcohol to those under 18,” he said.
Numerous benefits will be possible as part of the move, added managing director of central distribution trading and logistics at Nisa-Today’s John Sharpe.
He commented: “Our membership of Rasg will allow us to assist our members in meeting their legal obligations, update them with the latest information on alcohol retailing and communicate their views to government where able to do so.”
Last month, the company revealed Mike Fitton as its new head of sales, a move it said will allow it to “enhance the delivery of recruitment strategy”.
