Bryan Worth, nut buyer Morrisons, revealed that the seasonal items will not be on the shelves for long and therefore urged customers to purchase a “real autumnal treat”.
“We work with our supplier in Kent to get the best Cobnuts available, and to make sure they only go into store when they’re at their absolute best,” he commented.
The items sells at £1.99 per punnet, the company said, adding that demand for the nuts has frown in recent times.
Morrisons last week reported strong underlying pre-tax profits for the six months up until 3 August.
