Various titles in this non-food area are now being offered to consumers at low prices, the supermarket said, such as those on the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii, MVC reported.

A spokesperson from Morrisons told the news source that the company is “committed” to putting effort into these deals and will continue to do so.

“Gaming and home entertainment are very important in today’s current climate and Morrisons is constantly looking at new promotions for the customer,” they commented.

David O’Brien from Altium Securities told the Guardian that this could be a “very bloody war” in terms of price trimming.

Recently, Morrisons has launched a bid to inform children about the food they eat, with the intention of boosting knowledge about healthy produce.
