Mince pies going down a storm in Bristol, says Asda

Bristol residents appear to be the country’s top mince pie eaters, according to early sales figures from Asda.

Available for just over a month, figures from the supermarket giant show that a record number of its own-brand mince pies have flown off the shelves across the country.

Bristol is sitting at the top of the mince pie chart, with folks there having eaten over 94,000 pies over the last month.

People in Eastbourne, Hampshire and Sheffield are also getting into the festive spirit, coming in just behind Bristol.

The chart toppers are:

• Bristol – 94,770
• Eastbourne – 92,008
• Hampshire – 91,355
• Sheffield – 85,733
• Derby – 82,927
