Business Minister Mark Prisk will be the keynote speaker at this year’s British Retail Consortium (BRC) Annual Retail Industry Dinner, held in partnership with MasterCard Worldwide.
The Minister, whose responsibilities at the department of business, innovation and skills include retail, will address an audience of over 1,200 key decision makers from the retail sector, Government and civil service at the dinner.
Stephen Robertson, BRC director general, said: “I’m delighted Mark Prisk will be the main speaker at this year’s Annual Dinner. He’s a supporter of the sector who has come to know retail well through our work with him in opposition and now in Government. We applaud his intention to lighten the burden of regulation on retailers – both big and small.
“Our annual dinner takes place in the run up to the much anticipated Comprehensive Spending Review, which will reveal the coalition Government’s spending priorities and Mark Prisk is a key player. I’m very much looking forward to hearing what he has to say.”
