Gioteck announces gaming accessories partnership with Asda

Independent gaming peripherals designer and manufacturer Gioteck has announced that Asda is to begin listing Gioteck branded products from 6 August in 350 of its stores.

This follows on from the German retail giant MSH awarding Gioteck a direct retail account for its 390 stores in April 2012 and the appointment of US distributor Solutions 2 GO (S2G) to further capitalise on Gioteck’s North American market growth to date.

Matthew Lamprell, CEO of Gioteck, said: “Retailers understand that accessories are becoming an increasingly important part of the gaming category mix. Within five years, we believe that retailers will be making the majority of their revenue from hardware and not software, which puts us in a very strong position.”

Alan Jones, general manager at Gioteck, said: “The growing influence of supermarket business is now reflected in our distribution not just in the UK but also in overseas markets. Our ability to provide distinctively designed products in appealing packaging as well as value for money ensures that our range is a strong performer in the gaming category wherever in the world it is ranged.”
