Final call to small retailers for training course scholarships

Skillsmart Retail, the sector skills council for retail, and Retail Trust are making a final call for applications for scholarships on a prestigious residential training event.

Applicants have just over two weeks to secure one of seven free places worth £1,950 each for the Oxford Retail Masters Forum – a four-day residential course that allows retail managers to network and learn from some of the most respected experts in retail.

Small retailers are particularly welcomed to apply for the bursaries, which close on 2 January, for the event on 3-6 March 2008 at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

Scholarships are available to anyone who has worked in the industry for at least seven years but are particularly relevant for business owners, senior managers, regional managers and store managers.

To apply, applicants can download an application form in the Events section of www.skillsmartretail.com.
