The latest figures from TNS Worldpanel show Aldi growing at 21% year-on-year and Lidl growing at 13%.

Aldi’s growth gives it a record market share of 2.9%.

Iceland also enjoyed a strong run with 12% growth as the frozen food revival continued.

The grocery market as a whole grew by 6% year-on-year, helped by food price inflation.

Asda and Morrisons continued to enjoy strong growth, ahead of the market.

But Sainsbury’s and Tesco saw their shares slip, with growths behind the market at 5% and 4% respectively.
