The Co-operative’s National Business Crime and risk partnership manager Andy Pope took a trip to Buckingham Palace last week, to receive an OBE for his services to crime prevention.
Pope was recognised for his public service role in the New Year Honours as his work was seen to have had a positive impact on tackling business crime – from shoplifting and robberies to reducing issues of anti-social behaviour, making safer and stronger communities.
Speaking about his trip to collect the award Pope said: “To receive the honour from HRH Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace in front of my family was an emotional and exhilarating experience.
“I am extremely proud of all that The Co-operative has achieved over the recent years to have a positive impact in creating stronger, safer communities.”
