Britvic introduces new weight bottle

A new weight of bottle has been introduced by Britvic that it has claimed will be able to save a large amount of plastic each year.

The company stated that it has enlisted Artenius PET Packaging from Wrexham in a bid to cut down on plastic use by 330 tonnes for its Robinsons brand.

Britvic stated that it is constantly attempting to look at innovative measures and this is one way in which it can achieve its goals.

Chief executive Paul Moody noted that this drive will allow the company to establish further its green credentials.

He commented: “Robinsons has come a long way in reducing its impact on the environment in the past two years but as always we are focused on further packaging reductions.”

The total weight of the one-litre PET bottle offered by the company now weighs 36g, 2g less than before.
