Britvic has revealed that revenue has risen by 29.3% in the past year, despite the “downturn in spending”, something it suggested was due to a series of innovations.
The company said that revenue in the 12 weeks until 28 September was also up by 27.7% on the same period in 2007.
Growth in the UK stood at 4.8%, and there was a full 52-week contribution of £200.7m from Britvic Ireland.
Revenue growth in the stills sector grew by 4.8%, Britvic said, while carbonates jumped in revenue by 4.1%.
Chief executive at the company Paul Moody remarked that the firm has managed to stay strong even though various factors have tried to make conditions tough.
He said: “The business has achieved good revenue growth, increased market volume and value share with tight cost control helping to deliver our target of increasing GB & International operating profit margin.”
A new on-pack Tango promotion was recently unveiled by Britvic, offering consumers back if they do not like the drink.
It also ran a 7Up countryside retreat offer.
