Asda to create 9,000 jobs

Asda is to create 9,000 jobs this year, chief executive Andy Bond has told the BBC.

The BBC news website reports that some 500 of the new jobs will be at in-store pharmacies, while about 1,500 will come as the result of expanding its home delivery service.

Asda will open 22 new stores this year.
