Tesco announces "biggest-ever" Boxing Day sale

tesco berwickTesco will launch what it claims is its biggest-ever sale on Boxing Day, the retailer said this morning.

The £100m sale will offer savings on products from TVs and laptops to clothing and bedding.

Starting at 10am on Boxing Day Tesco will open all its Extra and Homeplus stores for the first time.

Tesco's commercial director Richard Brasher said: "We know that Boxing Day is a key time for customers looking to save on big-ticket electrical items, home ware, clothing and much more.

Discounts include up to £150 off LCD TVs and up to £150 off of laptops.

Stores will be open from 10am until 4pm.

Tesco's 950 Express convenience stores will also be open but superstores and Metros will be closed.
