Waitrose convenience store in pictures

Friday, 12 December 2008
Yesterday Waitrose opened its first convenience store in Nottingham, opposite the city's John Lewis branch.

Here are shots both inside and outside the store, which has a focus on fresh produce including meat, cheese and fish.

Additionally, the venue has a self-service food bar, offering sandwiches, baguettes and meals.

Today, chief executive Mark Price remained optimistic over the future of the retail sector.
