Waitrose sees surge in orders for duck and goose

duckChristmas orders for duck and goose are on the increase, according to Waitrose.

The supermarket said today that Christmas orders for duck were up 71% year on year so far.

Orders for goose have risen by 35%, ahead of traditional Christmas fayre such as turkey.

Frances Westerman, poultry buyer at Waitrose, said: "Customers are increasingly looking for a new taste experience and foods that pack more punch in terms of flavour."
