Waitrose Dubai store picture exclusive

Monday, 10 November 2008

TalkingRetail.com has obtained exclusive images from inside the new Waitrose store in Dubai.

The 5, 000 sq m venue is underneath the tallest building in the world, the Burj Dubai, and was designed by Kinnersley Kent. The client was Fine Fare Food Market.

Waitrose said the store mixes traditional branded products with local produce to try and offer strong alternatives for locals.

Colour has been used to differentiate between different departments at the store, while there is a separate pork shop for non-muslims.

Here we take a look at the company's first Middle East store.

The fresh produce aisle has an elegant and modern look.

Likewise, the gourmet counter sees the food highly visible.

Artwork sits on the wall behind the well-spaced checkouts.

Low-hanging lights.

To Whom it May Concern

I have an olive grove which produces extra virgin olive oil that has won many top awards. Can you advise if you would be interested in receiving a sample or even purchasing a quant*ty of extra virgin olive oil? Just so that you know we can bottle in 200ml, 250 ml, 1 litre or even supply in larger quant*ties for you to label.

I look forward to your response

Kind regards
