Beckham frozen range now at Tesco

Friday, 17 October 2008
David Beckham has launched his own range of frozen food products, including fish fingers and pasta.

The footballer attempted to highlight the importance of eating healthily as he unveiled the latest additions to the GO3 brand, with Omega 3 oils included.

"GO3 is tasty food, kids can eat everyday but made healthier. I also know as a footballer, how important it is to eat the right things to perform well, so I think the GO3 range is a great way to help families take some small steps to be fit and healthy at affordable prices," Beckham said.

Tesco is stocking the new products. They will also be available at Wembley stadium as an alternative to the usual eating choices.

Birds Eye recently began a promotion that attempted to highlight the benefits to children of eating food containing Omega 3.

What do you think of Beckham's new range? A serious attempt to get kids eating healthily or a cynical marketing ploy? Make a comment below

Omega 3 is so important to all of us. Especially our kiddies. I see this as basically a good thing. If all his products are high in Omega 3 and low in Omega 6. They can help our kids get these levels back to a better ratio. We get way too much omega 6 and not enough omega 3. So no matter what his reason is for selling the product - if it helps increase our omega 3 levels it is a winner. To Learn More About Omega 3 -> Salmon Oil
