Jeremy Garlick has been appointed general manager of group insight at Premier Foods, after a time with research agencies. The ex-Walkers and Sainsbury's employee will now attempt to improve "consumer-driven business decision making", taking into account the latest trends. He leads a team of 13 people.
Elsewhere, Dave Pickup has left British Bakeries to become the new sales director at United Biscuits, having held the same position in a divisional capacity at the first of these firms. Before his work at the Hovis manufacturer, Pickup also had stints at Manor Bakeries and Proctor and Gamble.
In the frozen food sector, Paul Heritage is now Aunt Bessie's managing director with a remit to grow the company. Heritage has previous experience at the executive level at Mars Incorporated, including oversight of major European brands such as the Mars bar itself.
Paul Cunningham has moved from supply chain management firm Holistica to take up the role of associate director at technology and business consultancy CVL – which offers services to the retail industry.
And the people moves do not stop there, as Marie Melnyk switches from Morrisons to take up a non-executive director position at Produce World Group. She will look to bolster the organistation's growth in the UK and overseas, using her 30 years of experience from the supermarket.
Supermarket price monitoring company Market Intelligence Services has appointed Heather Briggs as business development manager.
