Morrisons has revealed a new item – the Crunch Bunch – that it said will enable shoppers to spread an element of goodwill during the current economic climate. The fresh flowers are on sale for £1, the supermarket stated, something it added proves a "commitment" to keeping prices low. Senior flower buyer at Morrisons Joe Appleyard said that consumers can still access treats at a time when the overall cost of living is growing. "The bouquet we've selected is a simple but beautiful arrangement including Chrysanthemums, Gerberas and a Palm Leaf," she suggested. And the move comes as the organisation has also cut a number of other lines, it said, such as household essentials and diesel. Related Articles

Just another example... Just another example of the big money grabbing superstores trying to get rid of smaller retailers whilst pretending to help out the consumer. Absolutely disgusting and I will certainly not buy flowers from any supermarket. The big 4 are taking over and have a huge monopoly and soon there will be no small shops left. Once that happens watch the prices rise and spiral out of control. Shame on the money grabbing, greedy and unethical stores |
