Asda wins environmental award

Wednesday, 02 July 2008
Asda has won a top environmental award for its “common sense approach” to reducing waste and cutting packaging in its own brand products.

The UK’s second-largest supermarket group picked up the Management Category trophy at this year’s Environmental Leadership Awards run by Business Commitment to the Environment.

Judges were said to have been impressed by Asda’s overall approach towards going green, and making sustainability more accessible and affordable for its customers.
