After a long-term and successful cooperation with Tesco Poland our offer was appreciated and recommended by the buying department in Poland to British colleagues creating a Polish ethnic category, added Kaminski.
Initially the range will cover eight products including salt in glass jars with disposable mill, white and red wine vinegar and wide range of traditional Polish mustards, such as – Sarepska and Deli. Over time the lines will be expanded according to the consumer demands.
The Kamis’ team is expecting that initially the biggest hit in the UK will be its mustards range, covering 12 unique flavours. Polish mustard is much milder than the traditional English one and many British consumers will be positively surprised with its variety of delicate and exquisite tastes, said Krystian Oleksiak, the Kamis Export Director.
Our mustards have won the Food and Beverage Award Competition in the USA and we want to repeat our American success in the UK, where consumer tastes are similar, added Oleksiak.
Kamis’ presence in Tesco will be accompanied by a variety of UK based marketing and PR activities. The publicity programme will attract British consumers’ attention to the Kamis product range and it will create brand awareness.
At the same time, the activities will refresh the knowledge of the brand within the Polish community residing in the UK.
Kamis is well prepared for entering the UK market having the BRC Global Standard and the International Food Standard certificates. Kamis also has a modern continuous steam sterilization line for herbs and spices which is one of only five within Europe.
