Tesco Express stores are now selling up to two million cups of coffee a year with like-for-like sales growing in excess of 15%. The contract extension will see Coffee Nation continuing to offer Tesco’s customers fresh quality coffee across Tesco Express networks.
Whilst Coffee Nation’s promise of premium quality coffee in seconds supports Tesco’s commitment to offering customers efficient service at good value, the brand’s move towards sourcing selecting beans for its blend from sustainable sources is also in keeping with Tesco’s efforts to provide customers with ethically sourced products.
Scott Martin, chief executive, Coffee Nation said: “Coffee Nation is happy to be working together with Tesco to boost this category. Our self-service offering has proven to be a big hit with Tesco customers. We look forward to continuing work with Tesco over the next two years to provide even more of its customers with high quality, convenient coffee.”
