Caravan, the charity for the UK grocery and FMCG marketplace is delighted to announce and welcome Tim Hurrell, Co-operative Food Retail Managing Director to its Board of Trustees.
Tim has enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to act as Trustee for the charity and will play an active part in the day-to-day running, welfare and long-term strategy of Caravan. Tim brings with him an enormous wealth of experience which will be invaluable to Caravan as it moves forward with its fundraising and welfare development activities.
Tim commented: “The Co-operative Group has been a very strong supporter of Caravan for many years and, as such, I am delighted to have been invited to become a Trustee of the charity, which I have always held in extremely high regard.
“Caravan provides invaluable support to many people who have worked in the grocery sector, some of whom may have given a lifetime’s work to the food industry, but now just need a little extra help to get them through less prosperous times.
“I know a significant number of Co-operative employees invest their own time supporting the charity and organising fundraising events, and I am honoured that I will be able to play my part as a Trustee. I will give Caravan my devoted support, so that we can continue to provide financial and practical support to our beneficiaries from across the spectrum of the grocery industry.”
