Caravan opens branch in Yorkshire

Caravan, the charity for the grocery industry, continues to invest in the growth of the charity in the North and has formed a Caravan Young Managers committee to be based in Yorkshire. This group, known as ‘Caravan Young Managers North’ will compliment the existing Caravan Young Managers committee that is based in the South East of the country.

The membership of the Young Managers committee is drawn from the younger staff within the industry and the main purpose of the group is to network and spread the word of the charity. They also hold several events through the year where colleagues within the industry come along to help raise money for the charity.

The newly formed Young Managers North will be based in Leeds and members as of May 2008 are: Hanna Naseem from Asda, Adele Wills from Arla, Sarah Harding from Procter & Gamble, Ben Westerby from Greencore and Kathryn Amey from Caravan.

Gillian Barker, Director General of Caravan comments;

‘The opening of Caravan Young Managers North is also a great reflection on the growing success of the charity. This is a very positive step for us, and the Northern branch of Young Managers enables participation of industry people who are able to develop local links in the north of the UK.’
