Friday, 14 March 2008
Coffee Nation, the UK’s leading gourmet vended speciality coffee company, is to launch Compact, a brand new, self-serve coffee machine specifically developed with the convenience sector in mind at the 2008 Convenience Retail Show in Birmingham.

Coffee Nation Compact
As a complimentary addition to Coffee Nation's existing portfolio, which is currently available in over 550 motorway, petrol forecourt and convenience stores across the country, the Compact is an ideal solution for grocery; convenience and forecourt stores wanting to build a profitable, fresh coffee business.

Designed by leading product designers Seymour Powell, Compact will be the star of the show with its sleek fascia and simple user interface, delivering fresh Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino and Americana.

In addition, Coffee Nation will also be showcasing its complete portfolio of self-serve fresh coffee bars amidst stand-out new branding, reflecting a new direction for Coffee Nation's image.

The average Coffee Nation site generates sales of £40,000, whilst its top performing site makes over £400,000. From just one metre of floor space, the Compact is set to maximize valuable retail space in convenience stores and create a profitable 24 hour coffee business, delivering real gourmet coffee in less than a minute.

Scott Martin, chief executive Coffee Nation said: “With the launch of Compact, there is now a perfect Coffee Nation solution for independent and convenience retailers wanting to take advantage of the rapidly growing 'coffee on the go' sector. Like our existing Classic model, we are confident the Compact will be a huge success.”

Coffee Nation keeps things simple for its retail partners with its unique operating infrastructure and revenue share model. Every machine is connected to the internet and monitored by a dedicated helpline.

Coffee Nation doesn't outsource its service; its in-house service team routinely visit each site. When machine faults are recorded, service engineers are on site within a matter of hours, whatever time of day, enabling retailers to run a 24 hour coffee business.

You can visit Coffee Nation at the Convenience Retail Show on stand B81.

i am a truck driver and drive all over the uk, i'v got to know where most of the coffee nation machines are. Now you have the new ones that make the coffee so weak even with the extra shot. I have to remember where the old machines are that make the best coffee so ,why have replaced them.

the new vending machine to me is a big let down, i travel from shropshire to heathrow 3/4 times a week and it is normal for me to have a coffee going down and on my return but i have had my last today i may well have been drinking a cup of hot milk, i could have had a extra shot for a cost of 20 pence but no thanks
