Payzone and Netto Foodstores anticipate that total mobile top up transactions in-store could reach 1.4 million annually equating to an estimated £12m of MTU.
This agreement with payzone will allow Netto Foodstores to process MTUs as an integrated solution on its electronic point of sale system, providing a fast and efficient process for customers.
Commenting on the agreement, Paul Charmatz, Deputy Managing Director of payzone said: "Retailers are recognizing the benefits of payzone’s network and business practices - this is the second major contract we have signed in the grocery sector this month.
"Furthermore the agreement marks payzone's emergence within the multi-lane segment of the market and as we have the largest cash acceptance network and retail friendly margins, we anticipate taking further market share in the future.”
Kevin Barber, Commercial Director of Netto Foodstores commented:
“We are delighted to have entered into this arrangement with payzone. We anticipate beyond mobile top up being able to offer further products which will add to the range of services we can offer our customers"
