MySupermarket.co.uk launches online service for retailers and manufacturers

MySupermarket.co.uk, the grocery shopping and comparison site, today announces the launch of its innovative, industry-leading marketing data tool for FMCG manufacturers and retailers.

From today, the online mySupermarket Insights service will enable clients to view real-time supermarket prices of all products in their categories at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Ocado, in order to help assist their pricing, sales and marketing strategies. In addition to instant access to current pricing data, the service also offers all prices and promotions going back an entire year, and automatically inform clients upon logging in which prices have changed within the past seven days.

The service also offers immediate access to the historic trends data of supermarket prices by product, brand and category over the past 12 months. This feature will also highlight when products have been subject to promotional prices, to help marketers assess the effectiveness of pricing changes.

The foundation level service, offering access to real-time prices of products in one category, is free-to-view. The advanced service which includes competitors and trends over time is available as a monthly subscription.

From 2010, further features will be introduced to the online Insights service, including access to product sales data, shelf stock data and product swapping data.

Clients will have their own landing page at sign-in to the website and will be able to search prices by brand, product or category. All of the data charts are fully exportable.

mySupermarket.co.uk is the only supermarket shopping comparison website service in the UK. It is currently ranked 8th in the Hitwise ranking for Grocery and Alcohol websites in the UK (out of nearly 1200 websites in the category) and its growth outpaces the market.
