Symbol group Budgens picked up three awards at the Asian Trader Awards, including the flagship award for “Asian Trader of the Year” at a ceremony in London last week.
The high profile ceremony for independent retailers took place on Tuesday 3 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
The event aims to reward those who provide an excellent service to their customers and to raise awareness about the issues facing retailers in the current social and economic climate.
The “Asian Trader of the Year” award, which comes with a £10,000 prize, was won by Raj Samani, who runs a Budgens store in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire.
