Spar UK has launched its second cider event of the year in stores, following the promotional event in March.
The summer 2012 cider festival will run until 29 August at Spar stores in England, Scotland and Wales. The total cider category grew by 22% during the last festival in March this year, generating extra sales for Spar retailers.
The promotion will once again see a host of key brands available at “competitive prices” in Spar stores, and highlight the great offers available on a range of ciders.
Andy Burt, Spar UK marketing manager, said: “The cider event in March led to some fantastic sales results, and we are confident we will again see a hugely successful promotion this summer.”
Spar retailers are in with a chance to win up to £2,000-worth of capital bonds from the festival’s main sponsor, for creating an innovative, themed display in store.
Retailers will receive POS kits to highlight the promotion including shelf stripping, posters, hanging POS, bunting and banners.
The campaign will be supported on Spar Live Radio, as well as by a consumer competition and dedicated online presence on the spar.co.uk website, offering one lucky customer an Entertainment Centre including a TV and X Box.
