Police in the Midlands have this morning arrested eight people in connection with the murder of a sub-postmaster’s son last week in the store at Fairfield near Bromsgrove.
Officers looking for Craig Hodson-Walker’s killer arrested four people on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and another four on suspicion of assisting an offender.
West Mercia and West Midlands officers were both involved in the arrests, which took place across six addresses in the Birmingham area early today.
Hodson-Walker, 29, died as he and his father tried to fight off their attackers. His father Ken, 56, was seriously injured in the armed robbery.
Ken Hodson-Walker is in a stable condition after surgery on his leg.
Five of those arrested are men while three are women.
The Post Office is offering a £50,000 reward in connection with the inquiry.
