The Big Curry Night at the Chak 89 in Mitcham, south-west London on April 27 will bring together retailers from around the capital for a night of curry and Bollywood dancing along with the chance to hear a little bit more about the help that NewstrAid can provide.
Unveiling the event, Ralph Patel said: “Don’t miss out on one of the most exciting social events of the year. Chak 89 on April 27 is the place to be. Come along and meet your friends and colleagues, have a great curry and see what special deals our trade partners have to offer.”
NFRN London district president Ranjan Patel added: “We are delighted to support such a worthy event. I’ve already bought tickets for the night and look forward to seeing lots of fellow independent retailers there.”
The event is being sponsored by Smiths News, Menzies Distribution, Trinity Mirror and Utility Savings Corporation.
A number of suppliers will also be on hand with special offers on the night and details of new products and promotions to help independent retailers spice up their profits.
NewstrAid chief executive officer Alex van Straubenzee said: “The evening promises some great entertainment, a fabulous curry and a chance to introduce retailers to the all important work that NewstrAid does.
“Two-thirds of people that NewstrAid help are from the news retail sector and it is important that they know about the charity in case they ever need its help or come across anyone who does.”
Tickets for the event cost £5 (children under 12 are free) and must be bought in advance of the event.
