Independent retailer Harry Tuffin has recently opened two former Somerfield stores under the Nisa Extra store format in Gloucestershire in as many weeks.
The two stores, one based in Lydney and one in Coleford, were opened by each store’s longest servicing staff member and the local mayor.
Each store donated £500 each to two different charities, which are integral to the stores’ local communities.
Both Nisa Extra supermarkets have been designed to provide a comfortable shopping experience for their customers and boast a wide range of products including general groceries, household products and fresh fruit and vegetables, along with newspapers, confectionery, snacks, milk and alcohol.
The supermarkets also offer customers a wide selection of promotions on both Nisa’s own-label range and leading branded products as well as a ‘quids in aisle’ which is dedicated to products costing £1.
Paul Delves, managing director of Harry Tuffin, said: “We are delighted with the two new stores. They have both already shown excellent sales since the renovations and as we retained the staff from the Somerfield stores we are able to provide the friendly and bespoke service for the community.”
