Northumbrian Fuel Services has joined with Spar to open a new service station and Spar store in Alnwick, Northumbria.
The store will provide a range of grocery products with a fresh food offer, snacks and meal solutions and also a selection of fresh produce. An offering of chilled beers and wine will also be available, as well as newspapers, stationery and car accessories.
A cash machine has been installed on the site and future services such as lottery are planned. When the development is complete there will also be a Wild Bean Café in the store, as well as a hotel and restaurant. The site will also feature a fast food outlet from one of the major chains.
Steve Shepherd, regional business manager for Spar wholesaler James Hall & Co, said: “It is great to have a solid working relationship with Northumbrian Fuel. They are an innovative business, proactive and able to grab the opportunities we are offering them. We are really excited and looking forward to the partnership developing.”
Paul Abbot said: “Working with Spar has been a great success and their people have been brilliant. Spar’s expertise in marketing, training, systems, shop design and the operation of service stations is way ahead of other symbol groups.”
