Londis retailers to get new IT upgrades – UPDATE


Londis retailers are to get IT systems upgrade programme, including the provision of a base level EPoS system for Londis retailers at £4,000 with “full product, promotion and ordering capability”.


Musgrave GB announced at the Londis conference in Harogate its commitment to deliver a supply chain that would be “simpler for retailers and better for customers”. The package included:

* replacing the group’s supply chain systems
* rolling out chilled vehicles to the fleet
* re-equipping the network with new roll cages
* rolling out afternoon deliveries
* introducing six-day deliveries
* introducing more backhaul deliveries
* rolling out recycling initiatives to collect cardboard and plastic from retailers and return to retailer services centres to be recycled

On the training front, a new modular retail learning pack was launched along with a recruitment essentials training guide.
