Londis launches retail marketing package for Diwali

Symbol group Londis is launching a new marketing package to help its retailers maximise sales opportunities around the Diwali celebrations.

The package includes shopper deals and new marketing materials for retailers to get behind Diwali, one of the biggest events in the Hindu and Sikh calendars.

The package of offers, which was co-created with Londis retailer Kamlesh Patel, includes four best-selling lines for the occasion; 350g Cadbury’s Roses Carton, one-litre Rubicon Juice (various flavours), 200g Ferrero Rocher and 250g Dorritos (various flavours).

Londis said Diwali was a time when family and friends got together in the home to entertain and share gifts. It represented an opportunity for retailers to drive sales across a whole range of products, as well as supporting an important religious event within the community.

The offer is supported by a specially designed promotional pack which includes a ‘Happy Diwali from Londis’ poster, a promotional leaflet that each store can personalise, product and price barkers, as well as hanging cards.

Retailers will be able to order the range of products directly from the retailer pack by simply scanning the barcodes and over 800 retailers will be offered the promotional kit. The promotion will also be supported on the Londis webshop, where a dedicated area will host detailed information about the promotion, as well as an order template to make it easier for retailers to order lines.

Kamlesh Patel, owner of a Londis store in Manor Park, London, who helped to create the package, said: “Diwali often brings in more footfall as our shoppers look to us for last minute products, such as boxed chocolates, treats and soft drinks. We’ve created the offers and promotional support to address these needs, making sure Londis retailers can maximise this great sales opportunity and serve their communities with the best deals possible.”

Paul Courtney, Londis’ sales director, said: “It’s crucial that we provide the right offers and promotional support to help our retailers maximise the opportunities from community celebrations. By working with retailers to create such packages, we make sure both our retailers and shoppers benefit from appropriate deals”.
