Landmark Wholesale’s own-brands go from ‘strength to strength’

Landmark Wholesale has ended its financial year from May 2011 to April 2012 with own-brand sales 26.8% ahead of the 2010/2011 financial year.

Star year-on-year performers were No3 Tobacco products, Lifestyle Value, LSV Energy Drinks, Licensed, and Caterers Kitchen.

BA Cardiff was the biggest single depot for own-brand sales for the second year running and Parfetts was the member achieving the highest overall own-brand sales. United Wholesale, Hi-Line, Broadway and AJ Food all more than doubled their own-brand sales compared with the previous financial year.

Business development director, Chris Doyle, said: “A fabulous year for Landmark Wholesale Members as our own-brand go from strength to strength; this is almost double our growth rate from last year, which itself was an excellent performance. All members are in growth for the seventh period in a row and our new members made significant contributions to own-brand sales during the year.

“The continued own-brand focus from both central office and members has had an excellent effect on sales and we will continue to demonstrate and communicate to our customers that we offer great value on all of our own-brand ranges. We believe that providing a mix of top brands together with strong own-brand is essential for the future prosperity of the independent sector and we have an ambitious schedule of promotions and new product launches planned for the year ahead.”
