Christie Finance, the specialist commercial finance broker, has secured funding for the acquisition of the freehold of Staplegrove Post Office and Store in Taunton, Somerset, for experienced operator Kalpesh Patel.
Patel was seeking a suitable outlet to extend his business in the region, which currently consists of a further two post offices and stores, when he approached Christie Finance to help him secure funding for the acquisition of the Staplegrove unit, which was on the market with an asking price of £335,000.
Situated on a busy route in and out of Taunton, the post office and store, which is Premier branded, also includes a hair salon that is let separately.
Oliver Johnson, finance consultant at Christie Finance, who helped Patel secure funding for a previous post office and store acquisition in the area, said: “It was great to have the opportunity to secure funding for Kalpesh for a second time.
