Wholesaler Bestway is to re-introduce its Best-in fascia as a new service for its cash and carry customers.
The fascia was phased out some eight years ago to make way for the new Best-one symbol group. It will now re-emerge as a branding option for members of Bestway’s Best-in retailer club.
A similar initiative for Batleys retailer club members will create an Extra Local branded fascia. The signage will be the same for both Bestway and Batleys customers, with the Best-in logo at one end, the retailer’s own store name in the centre, and the Extra Local logo at the other end.
Launched in the past few weeks, the initiative has already seen 60 retailers sign up to receive the fascia.
Best-one symbol group director James Hall told Independent Retail News: “It allows Best-one to become the premium brand and the club fascia is for retailers using the cash and carry who want some kind of image. It’s really for those who couldn’t or didn’t want to invest and go the extra way into Best-one.”
Some retailers taking the Best-one or Extra Local fascia would eventually migrate into Best-one, he said, but stressed this was not the aim. “It’s very much a cash and carry initiative,” he said.
