The relaunch includes a greater range of incentives and benefits for members.

Back-up includes:

• Expert advice on range and merchandising
• Floor plan and planogram recommendations
• Promotions and marketing materials

An incentives package, dubbed the Promoting Retail Excellence Programme (PREP), offers a £500 payment to retailers who implements it, with the potential to earn a further £2,000 a year.

P&H is also refreshing its own-label offer to provide a “more focused” range of products in new-look “modern” packaging.

The wholesale distributor has also launched Plus News – a new category management service for newspapers and magazines, in partnership with consultancy Lucid Direct.

Plus News is designed to “provide retailers with a comprehensive toolkit that will effectively manage every aspect of the traditionally difficult news and magazine category.”

It includes:

• Advice on range
• Planograms
• Monthly promotional packages
• Supply chain management
