The Co-operative has extended the range of Polish products on the shelves of its food.

A small range of Polish products was introduced into selected stores in 2006, but because of the recent growth in demand, the Co-operative has extended its range to cover many different product areas such as:

• Condiments
• Pickles
• Sauces
• Confectionery
• Biscuits
• Snacks
• Soft drinks
• Ready meals
• Pates
• Jams and spreads

Salma Khan, category buyer for the Co-operative, said: “As well as keeping our Polish customers happy by providing an extended range of food products that will remind them of home, the increased range of products should appeal to many of our existing customers who have visited Poland or who simply want to sample something different.”

The move was announced just days after Tesco launched a home shopping website for Polish groceries, in both Polish and English.
