Fredericks fronts innovation in ice cream
Fredericks Dairies is at the forefront of innovation with 2008 seeing the launch of an exciting array of new products including Del Monte 100% Juice, Bassetts Jelly Babies wobbly lollies, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Flake tubs, Cadbury Strawberries & Dream stick, Bourneville Deeply Dark stick, Cadbury Fruit & Nut stick, Cadbury Buttons cone and the Tate & Lyle tub.
What's new from Fredericks in 2008? A cool way to get your 5 A Day Available in orange and pineapple flavours, each 75ml lolly is 100% real fruit juice, contains only natural ingredients and is free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Each variant boasts vibrant, modern packaging that highlights the real fruit content and the 5-a-day message to create strong stand-out and drive traffic to the freezer. Both the Del Monte 100% juice pineapple and orange variants will be available in a three-pack with a RRP of £1.99. Del Monte maintains its leading position in healthy fruit ices Marching ahead of competitors and delivering phenomenal sales, the Del Monte Smoothies brand has delivered beyond expectations to become the UK's No.1 iced smoothie brand. Since launch in 2006, Del Monte Smoothies has captured a staggering 46% share of the £14.3m iced smoothie market. The brand is available in three flavours - mango, raspberry and strawberry & banana (all with an RRP of £1.99 per three-pack and £1.10 per stick). The Del Monte Fruit Burst tubs are available in two appealing flavours, peach & raspberry iced dessert with raspberry sauce and peach pieces and mango & pineapple iced dessert with tropical sauce and pineapple pieces. Appealing to the health conscious consumer, each serving contains more than 50% real fruit, 1% fat and only 67 calories per serving. Each 900ml Del Monte Fruit Burst tub has a RRP of £1.99 or two for £3. Del Monte Fruitini ices are made from 100% natural ingredients and contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The range is available in two flavours including orange, pineapple & strawberry and blackcurrant & apple. Each Fruitini orange, pineapple & strawberry lolly contains 63% real fruit juice, making it the highest fruit juice content kid's lolly on the market by far. A wobbly innovation Guaranteed to take the freezers by storm and entertain all with their 'wobbly' proposition, each wobbling lolly contains 25% real fruit juice, no artificial colourings or flavours and only 65 calories per stick. The Bassetts brand is valued at £69m and the new Jelly Babies wobbly lollies are guaranteed to appeal to the Jelly Babies brands huge existing fan base. The range is available in four delicious flavours including orange, strawberry, blackcurrant and lime and each emulates their confectionary counterpart with the same decadent texture, just like a real Jelly Babies but with a cool and 'wobbly' twist. The new fun Jelly Babies range boasts a colourful eye-catching packaging design giving the product strong stand-out in the freezer and is easy for mums to read. Bassetts Jelly Babies wobbly lollies are available in an assorted eight-pack with and RRP of £1.99 and an impulse format with a RRP of 50p per stick. To share or not to share? Each 1-litre tub is filled with creamy Cadbury ice cream made using real Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate to deliver all the indulgent credentials you would expect from Cadbury. The range is available in two flavours including Cadbury Dairy Milk and Cadbury Flake with an everyday premium price point of £2.79 per 1-litre tub. Dreamy White, Deeply Dark & Nutty Each variant boasts the quality and indulgence credentials associated with the Cadbury brand and is smothered in real Cadbury chocolate. Other existing products in the Cadbury stick range include Cadbury Dairy Milk and Cadbury Crunchie Blast. The classic Cadbury Dairy Milk and Bourneville Deeply Dark 110ml variants are available in a three-pack with a 'mega-buy' £1.50 on-pack flash to give consumers great value for money. Cadbury cones with a twist Each cone is finished with a thick helping of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate and filled with smooth ice cream featuring a new 'twist' top. Fredericks Dairies has invested in unique technology to give Cadbury cones their distinctive twisted top, which replicates the classic ice cream cone you would purchase from an ice cream van. Each variant is available in a four-pack with a RRP of £2.39. Tate & Lyle style The new, luxury Tate & Lyle Golden Syrup tub is a combination of creamy ice cream with real sponge pieces and swirled generously with a real Tate & Lyle Golden Syrup sauce. An iconic green tub gives the of product maximum stand-out in the freezer with a premium price point of £2.79 per 1-litre tub.
